Bryony Haynes
Policy & External Affairs Manager
Prior to joining Community Housing Cymru, Bryony was a lobbyist consultant for Friends of the Earth Cymru’s ‘No fracking in Wales’ campaign. Since joining Community Housing Cymru in 2019, Bryony has developed her housing policy expertise as an assistant, an officer and now as one of the managers.
She has worked across a variety of policy areas in this time, including the implementation of the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016, and influencing additional support for housing associations as part of the UK Government’s energy bills support schemes.
Bryony was a part of the development of Community Housing Cymru's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy and continues to lead this work on behalf of the policy team. Bryony also now plays a role in the team’s work on the development of new social homes.
Working with members, Bryony is additionally the Community Housing Cymru lead for the future homes membership community.
