During this session our keynote speaker will share their passion of diversity and inclusion, as well as their insights and experience on the role of anchor organisations and how they invest and support local communities.

Our panel of experts will reflect on the analysis shared by our keynote speaker and consider what this means for housing associations in Wales.

What happens when things go wrong? This session will provide insight and tips on how to communicate effectively with staff and partners during a crisis.
“What does good assurance look like?” - Ceri Victory-Rowe, Director, Campbell Tickell
What is the difference between assurance and reassurance? Understanding how you obtain assurance is a central element of effective Boards. This workshop will share ideas and practical suggestions for Board members.
"Data Integrity" - Information Commissioners Office
Representatives from the ICO will be holding a workshop on how we can improve the data protection of our tenants
"Financial Headwinds - A lenders perspective" - Richard Wales, Commercial Lending Director, Principality

“Hack your services, involving tenants in reviewing and remodelling landlord services" - David Lloyd, Programme Director, TPAS Cymru
During this workshop you will hear from an expert in engaging tenants to
support organisations, to use their experiences to continue to improve the
services they deliver. You’ll also explore how this engagement approach
can strengthen your governance arrangements.
“The regulatory framework - Full Regulatory Assurance Review (FRAR)” - Ian Walters, Welsh Government
In this workshop we will hear from the Regulation team in more detail about the introduction of Full Regulatory Assurance Review and what this means for housing associations in Wales.
"Power of Communications" - Natalie Tate, project lead for Talking About Housing, JRF
“The challenge of supporting mental well-being – your role as an organisation and as a board” - Duncan Forbes, CEO, Trivallis
Duncan will be sharing their learnings and insight into the role and duty of leaders in supporting well being and good mental health.

4.00pm Keynote Speaker - Helen Barnard, Director of Policy Research and Impact, Trussell Trust
As a leading voice on anti-poverty solutions, Helen will reflect on the findings of her research when writing “Want” and other recent research at the Trussell Trust. We will consider the role we all play in securing a sustainable route out of poverty for the individuals, families and communities we serve.

"What does decarbonisation feel like to those who live in our homes?" - Solitaire Pritchard, Pobl
Barcud Shared Services, Nigel Ireland will be delivering a session that covers the role that effective audit planning plays in effective governance. Ideally the session would explore the role that audit plays in effective strategic planning, risk management and assurance.
